The following are 5 top picks for lasers that have remained as top sellers and in demand for performing hair removal. The lasers where chosen based on the following criteria. Candela lasers count for two of my choices.
1. Candela GentleMax Pro
"For over 20 years, Gentle Pro Series devices have been the industry leading laser hair removal systems, trusted by dermatologists and aestheticians around the globe to successfully treat patients of all skin types.
With 755 nm and 1064 nm dual wavelengths for laser hair removal, vascular and skin treatments, as well as multiple spot sizes and variable pulse duration, the Gentle Pro Series is a foundational device for all practices. The Gentle Pro Series includes: GentleYag Pro®, GentleLase Pro®, GentleMax Pro®, and GentleMax Pro Plus®."
2. Cynosure Apogee Elite-
Cynosure offered the Apogee 40 back in 1998. It was a single wave length 755nm Alexandrite system for hair removal. Spot sizes were 7mm/10mm/12.5mm The brochure stated an optional 16mm spot size and 70mm x 70mm scanner.
Over the years Cynosure offered the Apogee 5500, Apogee 6200 and Apogee 9300. All were good lasers, but the Apogee really hit it’s stride when the Apogee Elite was introduced. A combination of Cynosures Alexandrite 755nm, Apogee and Nd:YAG technology from the Acclaim. Now with one system all skin types could be treated. Most systems when sold were bundled with a Zimmer chiller and this package to this day is still in demand.
3. Cutera Excel HR
"Combining a high-power 755 nm Alexandrite laser, and Cutera’s proven long-pulse 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, coupled with the superiority of sapphire contact cooling, excel HR redefines modern laser hair removal.
High-performance dual wavelength laser system (755/1064)
Proprietary truPulse™—Nd:YAG technology
Real-time calibration—instant access to all parameters without recalibration or delays
Motorized spot size adjust—no switching of fiber-optic assemblies
Sapphire contact cooling to provide continuous cooling, maximizing patient comfort"
4. Exodus Prime Ice
Exo Prime Ice uses 3000W of high-power, precision, three-wavelength treatment technology 755/808/1064 combined. The light energy directly acts on the hair follicle tissue of the dermis. It removes the melanin from the hair follicle tissue without damaging normal skin and sweat glands, and achieves the purpose of ultra-fast and 100% painless hair removal.
A breakthrough hair removal platform that combines ultimate functionality with unparalleled comfort. Exo Prime Ice leverages the benefits of three combined wavelengths with an improved patient experience and a business-oriented approach. creating a unique and result-driven new solution in the world of professional hair removal.
5. Alma Soprano Ice Platinum-
Before the Soprano Alma offer the Sonata 810nm diode system. Not sure how well the Sonata sold but not much demand today.
Next was the newly designed Soprano. An attractive floor standing model that offered a large 12 x 10mm spot size, a repetition rate up to 3 Hz and an integrated chiller for the skin. Next was the Soprano XL. Not that the Soprano was a bad laser, but the XL offered an SHR mode that had a repetition rate up to 10Hz. Quite a bit quicker than the Soprano. The Soprano Line of lasers are fast and reliable.
"Soprano ICE Platinum, featuring trio clustered diode technology. The Platinum edition combines 3 laser wavelengths into a single innovative handpiece, simultaneously targeting different tissue depths as well as anatomical structures within the hair follicle. By combining the absorption and penetration levels of three different wavelengths, along with the treatment coverage, comfort and low maintenance of the diode laser, Soprano ICE Platinum achieves the safest and most comprehensive hair removal treatment available today.
3 combined wavelengths covering the optimal treatment spectrum
Virtually painless
Proven safety record
All skin types, even tanned skin "
