This blog is focused on helping you sell your laser.

With new equipment flooding the market, more and more preowned equipment continues to stream onto the market.

If you’ve decide to sell your laser, here are some tips that may help you sell it a little quicker!

First let’s talk about your asking price. How did you come about your asking price? If you have no asking price in mind, this blog might help you to go about establishing one.

If you’ve come about your asking priced based on what you paid for your laser or the balance on your loan, sorry to break the bad news to you, but the preowned laser market is not at all sympathetic to what the laser cost new, in addition the preowned laser market has nothing to do with the amount owed on your loan.

If you have leased your laser or have a balance due, your laser payoff would not only include the purchase price amount, but also the interest. Unfortunately buyers are not interested in paying the interest you owe on your laser!

Here are some things to think about:

For example, If you’ve come about your asking price based on what you see other similar lasers advertised for, this could be a problem as well. Let me explain. For example, let’s say you see a similar system as yours advertised for 30k. This is nothing more than an asking price. What if the laser where advertised for 40k or 50k, would that now mean your laser is worth 40k or 50k? Most likely not!

Advertised asking price is generally to entice a buyer to call and start negotiating towards a purchase! keep in mind, if your asking price is not realistic to the current market, the phone doesn’t ring!

What if the laser advertised at 30k is still available. In most cases it would mean the sellers asking price is to high or possible the right buyer has not come along. Most likely it is priced to high for the current market, otherwise if it were a super deal, it would have already been sold.

If you were to call on the laser for sale at 30k and it did sell the next question I would ask is what was the selling price? We all know there is usually some negotiating when purchasing, so what was the actual sell price. If given an honest answer, you now have established a market value and possible a value for your laser if the system description and configuration are similar.
